Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) –Minister of Finance Novica Vukovic has announced Montenegro will issue government bonds for citizens on November 3, with a total value of €50 million.

According to him, the issue, the first of this kind, is an important moment for the Montenegrin economy, as well as for anyone considering safe and responsible ways to save money.

“For the first time, every citizen of Montenegro has the opportunity to directly invest in their country, its stability, future, and financial security,” Vukovic said at a press conference.

He explained that the interest rate for a two-year period is 3.75 percent, and the minimum investment is €500. The bond issuance will continue until November 15.

“The total issuance is planned at €50 million, but we have allowed for higher demand, which could increase it up to €100 million,” Vuković said.
