Podgorica, (MINA) – The Podgorica Basic State Prosecutor’s Office (ODT) is responsible for handling the Zabjelo incident in which foreign nationals injured M.J. on October 26, the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica announced.

After taking the necessary measures and actions in order to established the facts in connection with the Zabjelo incident, this prosecutor’s office assessed that there is no reasonable suspicion that a criminal offense under its jurisdiction was committed.

“The analysis of the video material obtained from surveillance cameras that recorded the incident helped identify the incident participants, as well as the objects used in the criminal act”, the press release stated.

It is emphasized that the opinion of a medical expert shows that M.J. sustained minor injuries. 

“The Higher State Prosecutor’s Office assessed that in this particular case possible criminal offense of violent behavior and other criminal offenses under the jurisdiction of the ODT in Podgorica have been committed, which is why the case was transferred to that office”, the press release reads.
