Agreement on construction of University Clinical Center in Podgorica to be signed next week

Podgorica, (MINA) – The agreement on the construction of the University Clinical Centre in Podgorica with the French company Bouyges will be signed next week in Montenegro, Prime Minister Milojko Spajic said during a meeting with representatives of the Movement of the Enterprises of France(MEDEF) in Paris.

According to the press release from the Government, Spajic presented Montenegro’s progress so far and upcoming plans within the European integration framework, as well as the country’s investment and tourism potential.

“Following the first excellent meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron two years ago, the foundations were laid for the strategic partnership agreement between the governments of our two countries, which was signed and ratified in our parliament last year”, Spajic said.

According to him, at that time there were almost no French companies in Montenegro, except for one in the banking sector.

According to Spajic, the picture is completely different today.

The Government’s press release stated that MEDEF director Geraldine Lemble praised Montenegro’s progress on the European path, adding that French-Montenegro business council is a confirmation of great potential of the economic partnership between the two countries.

The meeting pointed out that Montenegro and France have great potential for strengthening economic relations.

“French businessmen praised the impressive progress on Montenegro’s European path, as well as the open and friendly business environment”, the press release added.
