Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Innovation Fund of Montenegro has announced a public call for four support programmes worth a total of €2 million, aimed at further strengthening the innovation ecosystem and developing an innovation culture in Montenegro.

“The support programmes are intended for companies, start-ups, researchers and educational institutions across Montenegro, with the goal of supporting innovation development at all stages, from idea validation to the commercialization of products or services,” the Fund said in a press release.

Through these programmes, the Fund not only provides financial support but also actively contributes to connecting science and business and building a functional innovation ecosystem in which ideas can grow into sustainable and competitive solutions.

“The programmes enable beneficiaries to develop innovative ideas, enhance competitiveness and contribute to the development of the innovation community in Montenegro,” the Fund said.

Interested applicants can apply for the Programme for Strengthening Innovation in Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, with a total budget of €1.3 million, while grant amounts range from €50,000 to €200,000. 

The Early-Stage Start-up Support Programme has a total budget of €400,000, with grant amounts of up to €35,000.

According to the press release, the Fund’s Innovation Culture Promotion Programme has a budget of €100,000, with grants of up to €8,000.

Applicants can also apply for the implementation of educational programmes in the field of smart specialization, for which €200,000 has been allocated, with grant amounts of up to €10,000.
