Zeta Municipal Assembly adopts declaration to annul Kosovo recognition

Podgorica, (MINA) - The Zeta Municipal Assembly adopted on Tuesday a declaration calling for the annulment of the decision to recognize Kosovo on the territory of that municipality.

Councilors from the Democratic People’s Party and the New Serbian Democracy, Marko Vukcevic from the Democrats, and independent councilors Nikola Rajovic, Svetozar Ulicevic and Lidija Panic voted in favor of the declaration, the RTCG portal reports.

Councilors from the Democratic Party of Socialists did not attend the session, while the councilors of the Democrats, Aleksandra Petricevic and Luka Krstovic, left the session before the vote.

The declaration sponsor, Nebojsa Nikcevic, said that the initiative was signed by 18 councilors.

He stated that Zeta Municipal Assembly thus expressed the position that all previous governments had ignored “the majority opinion of the citizens of Montenegro that Kosovo is an integral part of Serbia”.
