Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Green and sustainable tourism, opportunities for enhancing sustainable development, and improving the competitiveness of the tourism offer were the focus of workshops held in Petrovac as part of the Greenpulse project.
As part of the project, which is being implemented through the Interreg IPA CBC Croatia–Bosnia and Herzegovina–Montenegro 2021–2027 cross-border cooperation programme, Morsko Dobro organized a workshop on green and sustainable tourism for local stakeholders at the Ami Hotel in Petrovac.
The workshop brought together representatives of the tourism sector, institutions and other relevant stakeholders with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experience.
During the first workshop, Careers for Green and Sustainable Tourism, participants were introduced to trends in the green economy, emerging professions and the skills that will be crucial for the future development of the tourism sector.
The second workshop, dedicated to the application of sustainable development principles in the operations of tourism businesses, enabled participants to examine how sustainable practices can contribute to greater competitiveness and more efficient business operations.
The third workshop, Sustainable Tourism and Service Certification, presented international standards and certification systems that contribute to improving the quality, sustainability and recognition of tourism products and services.
The workshops were led by expert lecturers from the Logate Institute for Information Technologies and included interactive activities, group work and discussions that encouraged the exchange of best practices and the identification of concrete solutions for the sustainable development of the tourism sector.
