Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Minister of Maritime Affairs and Coordinator of the Ministry of Transport Filip Radulovic, construction works on the second section of the motorway, from Matesevo to Andrijevica, are expected to begin in late May or early June.

Speaking at the RE:D conference in Budva, Radulovic also announced that a tender for the construction of the Podgorica bypass would be launched by the end of the month, describing it as another priority infrastructure project.

The Ministry of Transport stated in a press release that Radulovic also said that plans are underway for the construction of the Budva bypass, which would significantly improve traffic flow and reduce congestion on city streets, particularly during the tourist season. 

Speaking about the issue of airport concessions, he said the final decision would be made by members of parliament.

Radulovic said that even if the country does not proceed with a concession arrangement, the state must continue investing in the development and improvement of airport infrastructure in order to ensure better operating conditions and higher-quality services for passengers.
