Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Finance Novica Vukovic said that the Ministry of Finance remains a reliable partner to Italian companies and investors, providing full institutional support to all initiatives that contribute to improving economic relations and strengthening investment cooperation between the two countries.

He hosted a farewell meeting with the Ambassador of Italy to Montenegro, Andreina Marsella, thanking her for her dedicated engagement, friendly attitude towards Montenegro and Italy’s continuous support for the country’s European path.

Vukovic said on this occasion that the partnership between the two countries had been further strengthened during her term of office.

It was concluded that Montenegro and Italy maintain a substantive partnership based on mutual trust, intensive political dialogue and increasingly stronger economic cooperation, alongside a shared commitment to European values and the integration process. 

Marsela said that Italy remains strongly committed to the idea of the reunification of Europe, emphasising that Montenegro should be the next country to join the European Union. 

She stated that Italy would continue to provide full support for Montenegro’s European path, adding that the progress achieved is the result of serious and dedicated reform efforts by Montenegrin institutions.
