Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to one of the leaders of the European Alliance Ivan Vujovic, any responsible government would be concerned that in the Constitutional Court, even in its current form, there is no majority that considers the agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to be constitutional.
He said that the Government is instead celebrating the unresolved outcome of the vote and falsely and misleadingly claiming that this means everything is in order with the agreement.
“An incomplete Constitutional Court can only make incomplete decisions, without the necessary legitimacy. They are deprived of the effects they should have in a democratic society and of the role of clarifying delicate and disputed constitutional and legal issues without political influence,” Vujovic posted on X.
He added that the current authorities are responsible for the fact that Montenegro has had a partially composed Constitutional Court for years.
“A government like this is exactly suited to such a Constitutional Court, essentially incapable of making decisions,” Vujovic said.
