Podgorica, (MINA) – The President of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Dario Vranes, said that he was denied entry to Kosovo on Sunday morning.
He said that he had been informed that the entry ban had been activated two days earlier, that he had not committed any offense, and that “the list of persons who should be banned from entering Kosovo was provided by Montenegro”.
“This morning, the police of the safe-proclaimed state of Kosovo denied me entry to the southern Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija”, Vranes wrote on the Instagram social network.
He said that this is the first time in the last 25 years that the Kosovo police have banned him from entering Kosovo.
“The head of the border police, Bajram Kolic, kindly informed me that the entry ban had been activated two days ago, that I had not committed any offence, that it had nothing to do with their “services” and that the list of persons who should be banned from entering Kosovo and Metohija was provided by Montenegro!!!”, said Vranes.
He added that he expects an answer as to whether the claims by the head of the border police are true.
“And if they are, who and on what basis requested that the political representatives of the Serbian people be prevented from entering Kosovo and Metohija to visit their fellow Serbs and the holy sites of the Serbian Orthodox Church? Next year in Prizren”, Vranes wrote.
