Podgorica, (MINA) - The Organizing Committee of the Mediterranean Games, which will take place in Italian city of Taranto, has unveiled the visual identity “Look of the Games”.
The visual identity of the Mediterranean Games Taranto 2026 will, as stated in a press release, accompany the narrative of that event and shape its image across competition venues, urban spaces and on all official materials.
It is stated that the Mediterranean Games represent far more than a sporting competition: they are a space for meeting and dialogue among countries that share a millennia-old history and a common cultural heritage.
They stated that the visual language is built on fluid, dynamic and organic forms that move apart and come together in harmonious and continuous movement.
“The concept is inspired by Futurism, reinterpreted in a contemporary way to express energy, movement and a forward-looking momentum”, the organizers add.
They pointed out that the new visual evokes the flow of water, a central element of the identity of the Mediterranean Games.
The Organizing Committee announced that the visual system is complemented by the motto “Embrace the Future”, which captures the vision of the Games: looking to the future through sports, cooperation among Mediterranean countries and the active role of new generations.
The 20th edition of the Mediterranean Games will be held in Taranto from August 21 to September 3.
