Podgorica, (MINA) - Former Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Vesna Bratic has been released from house arrest, said one of her defense attorneys, Mitar Susic.
He told the daily Vijesti that all the witnesses had been heard and that the reasons for keeping Bratic under house arrest ceased to exist.
Bratic was arrested on February 16 as part of the investigation by the Special State Prosecutor’s Office over the damage of at least EUR 400,000 caused by the dismissals of more than 140 kindergarten, primary and secondary school principals.
She was initially placed under up to 30 days detention, but the Podgorica High Court canceled the decision on February 20 and ordered that she be placed under house arrest.
