Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Union of Free Trade Unions (USSCG) will organize a rally on Wednesday outside the Government building due to the failure to reach an agreement with the Government regarding the signing of a new General Collective Agreement (GCA) and wage increases.
USSCG Deputy Secretary General Ivana Mihajlovic called on members and all citizens to join them with their families at the peaceful protest, which will begin at 3:30 p.m.
“We have already cancelled previously announced protest marches in front of the Government building twice,” Mihajlovic said at a press conference.
According to her, the promises have not been fulfilled and the meeting scheduled for April 17, which was supposed to be a key meeting, was not held for unknown reasons.
Mihajlovic said the protest is intended to send a message that employees will no longer face situations where their work is undervalued and their well-founded demands are ignored.
