Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According the Central Bank (CBCG), Turkiye is currently Montenegro’s key investment partner, with a growing influence on development projects and the real estate market.
The Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro stated in a press release that this could have a significant impact on the country’s overall economic growth in the coming period.
CBCG’s preliminary data show that total foreign investment inflow into Montenegro from 1 January to 30 November of last year amounted to €867 million, confirming that the country remains an attractive destination for foreign capital.
“Turkey has positioned itself as the largest single investor, with total investments of €127.1 million, or around 15 percent of total inflow,” the press release reads.
This places Turkey ahead of Serbia, Germany, and the United States, which are traditionally considered Montenegro’s most important economic partners.
