Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Transport Administration has published a video on its YouTube channel showing the progress of the reconstruction of the Djurdjevica Tara Bridge, one of the most important infrastructure and tourist landmarks in Montenegro.

According to a press release from the Administration, one of the most technically demanding segments of the project, the installation of protective and working scaffolding on the bridge, is currently under way. 

“Work on the smaller arches has been completed, while the focus is now gradually shifting to the large central arch, which is the most demanding part of the structure,” the press release reads.

In parallel, the access roads have been completed.

The project is worth around €6.7 million, with funds secured through a donation from China.

The Transport Administration stated that the reconstruction of the Djurdjevica Tara Bridge is of multiple importance.

“It will extend the lifespan of this historic structure and improve traffic safety,” the press release concluded.
