Study visit helps improve preparation of agricultural census in BiH

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – A study visit by statistical institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Montenegro’s Statistical Office (Monstat) enables direct insight into practical experiences and solutions applied in Montenegro, which may contribute to more efficient preparation and implementation of the Agricultural Census in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Montenegro’s Statistical Office, which hosted the three-day study visit that concluded today, presented the country’s experiences in preparing and conducting the Agricultural Census, including the legal framework, methodology, organization of fieldwork, and the establishment of the census framework.

The visit was dedicated to the implementation of the Agricultural Census, during which representatives of statistical institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina had the opportunity to learn about Montenegro’s experience in planning, organizing, and conducting this complex statistical survey.

“Focus was placed on the application of modern technological solutions in statistical practice, such as the CAPI system for data collection, as well as procedures for data processing, quality control, and validation,” Monstat said in a press release.

The visit also offers an opportunity to further strengthen regional cooperation among statistical institutions, exchange knowledge and good practices, and confirm the professional capacities of the Statistical Office of Montenegro in conducting complex statistical surveys.
