Stronger economic cooperation and connectivity a priority in bilateral relations

Stronger economic cooperation and connectivity a priority in bilateral relations

Podgorica, Skopje, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Montenegro and North Macedonia can enhance economic cooperation by increasing trade, implementing joint investment projects, and strengthening ties between their business communities.

President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic met in Skopje with Prime Minister of North Macedonia Hristijan Mickoski as part of his official visit to Skopje.

It was concluded that relations between the two countries are friendly, based on mutual trust, good neighbourly relations, and partnership within NATO, with the European Union membership as a shared strategic goal.

Economic cooperation was the central topic of the meeting.

It was noted that despite very good political relations, economic ties remain below their potential, and that further efforts are needed to strengthen them through increased trade, joint investments, and closer business cooperation.
