Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System (CGES) finished last year with a profit of €21 million, confirming its key role in Montenegro’s energy stability.
“Although transmission tariffs were reduced by decision of the Energy Regulatory Agency, based on exceptional financial results achieved in the previous period, resulting in €9.5 million lower revenues last year, the company’s net profit still amounted to €21 million, maintaining the continuity of strong financial performance,” the company said in a press release.
According to the company, this financial success is achieved through a focus on investments in strategic projects, continuously contributing to the development and expansion of the system, which does not burden end users despite growing operating costs.
“We have demonstrated that it is possible to reconcile two important goals: to provide citizens and businesses with reliable and high-quality electricity transmission services at stable tariffs, while ensuring growth in value and profit distribution for the company’s owners,” CGES stated.
