Strengthening cooperation between Montenegro and Sweden in the energy sector

Niksic, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Elektroprivreda (EPCG), Montenegro and Sweden could strengthen cooperation in the energy sector, particularly in the application of new green technologies, the development of renewable energy sources, improvement of energy efficiency, and the digitalization of energy networks.

 

EPCG’s Executive Director Zdravko Dragas and Executive Director of the Development and Investments Section Ivan Mrvaljevic met with the Ambassador of Sweden to Belgrade, Charlotte Sammelin.

 

“The meeting focused on the application of new green technologies, Sweden’s experience, the development of renewable energy sources, improving energy efficiency, and the digitalization of energy networks,” the company said in a press release.

 

Particular emphasis was placed on potential investments and cooperation that Sweden carries out with EU partners, which contribute to the transition to a low-carbon economy and the sustainable development of the energy sector in Montenegro.

 

Mutual readiness to open dialogue on strategically important projects that will further strengthen the partnership between Montenegro and Sweden was expressed at the meeting.
