Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Prime Minister Milojko Spajic, Montenegro has strategic reserves of petroleum products which, together with commercial stocks, ensure market stability and normal consumption for approximately two months.

“Thanks to last year’s reforms carried out by the Government, Montenegro now has strategic reserves of petroleum products. These reserves provide an additional supply security mechanism and, together with the commercial stocks held by certain companies, ensure market stability and normal consumption for around two months,” Spajic posted on X.

He reminded that a meeting of the Council for Ensuring Secure Supply of the Petroleum Products Market is scheduled for today.

“At that meeting, the current situation will be reviewed and possible measures will be considered to overcome the challenges faced by some smaller oil companies,” Spajic said.
