Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) - A consortium consisting of Briv Construction, Hering, Herc Gradnja, Shandong, and IPSA Institute Sarajevo has been selected by Monteput as the designer and contractor for works on the expressway along the Montenegrin coast – the Budva bypass, section Markovici–Lastva Grbaljska.

Prime Minister Milojko Spajic posted on his Facebook account that this is the first phase of the project.

“The quotation for preparing the project documentation and carrying out the works amounts to €196.26 million, while the deadline for completion is 48 months from the date the contractor is introduced into the project,” Spajic wrote.

He explained that the construction of the expressway, which will connect the Podgorica–Budva and Budva–Tivat main roads, will significantly contribute to diverting transit traffic away from Budva’s urban core, reducing traffic congestion, and improving safety for all road users.

“The call for this project, launched in late October last year, was open until the end of February,” Spajic added.
