Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – On Wednesday, Members of Parliament adopted amendments to the Law on Business Organizations and the Law on Registration of Business and Other Entities.

A total of 46 MPs voted in favour of both laws, with none against and no abstentions.

The laws will enter into force upon their publication in the Official Gazette, under an urgent procedure.

Explaining the proposed amendments, MP Vasilije Carapic of the Europe Now Movement stated that the laws on business organizations and their registration were adopted last year, but that certain issues arose in their implementation due to digitalization and the transition to a new system, making it impossible to carry out registrations over the past several months.

“These amendments resolve the problems that have emerged in practice,” said Carapic, adding that the deadline for compliance with the new law has been extended to 15 June, instead of the end of March.
