Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – It was concluded at the CheckIn conference in Bar that digitalization and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles are rapidly transforming business in Montenegro through advanced ICT solutions, automation, and energy efficiency.
However, cyber risks are also increasing at the same time, so security, regulatory compliance, and partnerships are key to sustainable digital development, it was noted at the event titled oneX – Exchange. Expand. Explore, organized by One Montenegro as part of the CheckIn conference.
Commercial Operations Director at One Montenegro Drago Kazic pointed out at the panel “Green Digitalization and ESG through Modern ICT Solutions” the profound transformation brought about by the development of mobile internet and smart devices, as well as Montenegro’s position in the modern technological context.
“From calls and SMS messages, we have reached a point where we use our phones for almost everything, from business tasks to personal obligations. In that sense, the phone has largely replaced the computer. While we once tried to catch up with the world, today we can say we are keeping pace with modern trends. The 5G network has been developed, and among the first in Europe, advanced versions such as 5G Advanced technology have also been tested,” said Kazic.
He added that the ESG concept is not an additional obligation for One, but a way of doing business, and that through network improvements and continuous investments, the first Montenegrin mobile operator contributes to reducing CO2 emissions and increasing energy efficiency.
