Podgorica, (MINA) – The Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) has initiated criminal proceedings against H.M., a citizen of Montenegro and the Netherlands, on suspicion of creating a criminal organization and unauthorized production, possession and distribution of drugs.

According to SDT’s press release, H.M. is suspected of smuggling 4,168 kg of cocaine from South America to Western Europe.

“The defendant is accused of becoming a member of a criminal organization organized by Lj.M. and M.O., whose members include I.S., N.B., P.L., M.P., B.J., M.M., A.K., V.B., G.S., D.M., F.Z., I.N., T.A., M.N., D.K., M.B., B.O., R.P., V.L., V.V., A.M., V.B. and V.B.”, the press release said.

H.M. it is suspected that, together with other members of the group, transported 500 kg of cocaine from Ecuador to Germany during 2019 and 2020, 793 and 846 kg of cocaine from Ecuador to the Netherlands, and 1,044 and 985 kg of cocaine from Ecuador to Belgium.

“Against 25 other members of the criminal organization, the SDT has already initiated criminal proceedings that are ongoing”, the press release adds.
