Podgorica, (MINA) – In a challenging year for Montenegro, it is important that all actors act wisely and responsibly in order to achieve the goal of country’s successful integration into the European Union (EU), said European Parliament (EP) Rapporteur for Montenegro, Marjan Sarec.

According to a press release from his office, Sarec met on Thursday in Brussels with head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party of Socialists Andrija Nikolic and the party’s international secretary Jasmin Bojadzic.

It is stated that the meeting was dedicated to the exchange of views on Montenegro’s EU accession process, with consideration of progress, challenges and steps needed to advance reforms and alignment with the EU.

“Sarec emphasized once again that in this challenging year, it is all the more important that all actors act wisely and responsibly in order to achieve the common goal of Montenegro’s successful integration into the EU”, the press release said.
