Podgorica, (MINA) – The Police Administration has called on all citizens to spend the upcoming holidays responsibly, with dignity and in the spirit of community, taking care of their own safety and the safety of their families, friends and all fellow citizens.

The police stated that during the upcoming holiday, numerous gatherings, celebrations and increased traffic intensity are expected throughout the country.

“We in particular appeal to citizens to refrain from excessive alcohol consumption and any form of risky or irresponsible behavior that may lead to unwanted consequences”, said the police.

It is stated that the special emphasis of the Police Administration during the holidays will be placed at controlling reckless drivers and sanctioning traffic violations.

The police also announced that on Thursday, in certain parts of the Capital City, as well as in the area of Cetinje and on the road Niksic-Grahovo, there will be a complete or partial traffic closures, as well as limited access to certain roads, streets, public areas and facilities, primarily in areas where public gatherings are held.

It is added that during the upcoming holidays, the Police Administration will take all measures within its authority, with an increased presence of police officers, in order to preserve stable public peace and order, ensure safe and smooth traffic flow, prevent criminal offenses and protect personal and property security of all citizens and tourists.
