Revenues reach €632 million in four months

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Tax Administration collected €632 million in gross budget revenues from the beginning of the year through 30 April, which is €32 million more compared to the same period last year.
The Tax Administration said in a press release the achieved results confirm a stable growth trend in revenue collection, as well as the continuous improvement of tax discipline and system efficiency.
“A total of €169 million was collected in value-added tax, which is €1.7 million more compared to last year,” the tax authority said.
Revenues from corporate profit tax amounted to €191 million, remaining at last year’s level.
As for social contribution collection, it totaled €157.3 million, which is €30 million more compared to the previous year.
“The Tax Administration particularly emphasizes the importance of a partnership-based relationship with taxpayers through continuous awareness raising, timely information, and support in the implementation of tax regulations,” the press release reads.
The Tax Administration concluded that strengthening trust and transparency is aimed at improving voluntary tax compliance and creating a stable fiscal framework that contributes to overall economic development.
