Red Arrows visit ahead of Independence Day strong symbol of Montenegro-UK partnership

Podgorica (MINA) – Strong bilateral relations between Montenegro and the United Kingdom (UK) continue to strengthen through partnership in the areas of security, defense and international affairs, it was announced on Thursday at the “Knjaz Danilo Petrovic Njegos” military airport, during the visit of the Red Arrows, the aerobatic team of the Royal Air Force.
The visit and performance by the Red Arrows were organized to mark the 20th anniversary of Montenegro’s independence and to symbolize continuous partnership between the two countries.
Minister of Defense of Montenegro Dragan Krapovic pointed out that the return visit of the Royal Air Force’s aerobatic team carries special significance because of the message it carries, namely “the message of continuity in partnership, mutual respect and readiness to build a safer future together”.
He thanked the Red Arrows team for sharing their knowledge, skills and enthusiasm with the citizens of Montenegro and members of the Army of Montenegro.
British Ambassador to Montenegro Dawn McKen expressed satisfaction that the Royal Air Force’s Red Arrows are visiting Montenegro again.
As she pointed out, the UK has strong bilateral relations with Montenegro, including in the areas of security and defense.
Red Arrows Commander Sasha Nash, the first woman to lead the team, said that it was a pleasure to be in Montenegro during the second visit of the Red Arrows.
“It is a special honor for us to be here on the eve of the 20th anniversary of Montenegro's independence and to have the opportunity to make a small contribution to that important jubilee”, Nesh said.
