Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – President of the Chamber of Economy Nina Drakic said that Montenegro and Croatia are connected by proximity, a shared market environment, compatible economic structures, and a common European path, which creates room to elevate cooperation from trade to the level of strategic investments and joint projects.
Speaking at the Business Forum in Rijeka, she emphasized the importance of the event for strengthening economic relations between Montenegro and Croatia.
“Croatia is one of Montenegro’s most important foreign trade partners, with significant annual trade exchange, which reached nearly €240 million in 2024 alone, continuing a growth trend from previous years,” Drakic said.
At the same time, Croatian investments in Montenegro reached around €64 million between 2018 and 2024, confirming the continued interest of Croatian companies in the Montenegrin market.
“This is also evidenced by the presence of numerous international companies, including renowned Croatian investors such as Hrvatska Elektroprivreda (HEP), INA, Hrvatski Telekom, Karisma Adriatic, Ledo and many other, smaller companies that have already recognized Montenegro as an attractive investment destination. They are the best ambassadors of our economic cooperation,” Drakic stated.
