Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Maritime Affairs and Coordinator of the Ministry of Transport Filip Radulovic announced that works on the rehabilitation of the Sokolovina landslide near Mojkovac, one of the most complex landslides on Montenegro’s state road network, have been successfully completed.

“I am pleased to announce that the rehabilitation works on one of the most complex landslides have been successfully completed. Following the completion of the works, the conditions have been met to lift the traffic suspension, meaning the road will be operational again starting Wednesday,” said Radulovic.

He stated that the project was of particular importance not only because of the technical demands and complexity of the terrain, but above all because of the significance of that road for the citizens of Mojkovac, Zabljak, and the entire north of Montenegro, as well as for the tourism industry.

“The reopening of traffic on this section will significantly facilitate the daily lives of the local population, improve connectivity in the northern part of the country, and enable the tourism industry to be fully prepared for the upcoming summer tourist season,” Radulovic said.
