Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Works on the Tivat–Jaz road section are progressing according to schedule, said the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Coordinator of the Ministry of Transport, Filip Radulovic, adding that the road will be ready for traffic during the upcoming summer tourist season.
“Works on the Tivat–Jaz section are proceeding according to the planned schedule, and at this moment around 1.2 kilometres of the road still need to be asphalted. We have intensified the activities of the contractors so that all four lanes will be asphalted by the beginning of the summer tourist season,” Radulovic said during a visit to the construction site.
He stated that the infrastructure project would not pose an obstacle to the tourist season, adding that upon completion, citizens and tourists would benefit from a more modern and safer roadway, along with significantly improved connectivity between the coastal municipalities.
“By modernizing this road, we will have much better connectivity along the coast, greater safety for all road users, and higher-quality infrastructure that is important both for the local population and for Montenegro’s tourism industry,” Radulovic concluded.
