Radulovic appointed Montenegro’s representative in the European Scientific Network ELI

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Executive Director of the Science and Technology Park (STP) Valentina Radulovic has been appointed as Montenegro’s representative in the role of Industry Liaison Officer within the European scientific network Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI).

The STP stated in a press release that the appointment offers an additional incentive for the entire domestic innovation community, opening new opportunities.

“The nomination came from the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, recognizing the STP as a natural meeting point between science and industry. Through this role, Radulovic continues to build a direct bridge between the advanced research infrastructures of the ELI network and Montenegro’s real sector, providing domestic companies with access to technologies and partnerships that usually remain out of reach for small economies,” the press release reads.

The STP explained that the connection with this prestigious network comes at a time of its intensive growth, considering that since the opening of its building, the institution has gathered 43 tenants and hosted more than 600 events, while around 300 participants passed through support programmes and specialized training sessions last year alone.

According to the press release, four laboratory facilities of the University of Montenegro have been integrated within the STP, enabling scientific ideas to gain a direct path to the market.

The STP is currently active in eight European projects, with 14 submitted applications for EU funds.

ELI is a European research infrastructure dedicated to the development and application of ultra-high-intensity laser technologies. The network brings together research centers in the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Romania, and functions as an open platform for scientists and companies from across Europe.
