Radulovic: Airports ready for the summer season

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – During a visit to Podgorica Airport in Golubovci Minister of Maritime Affairs and coordinator of the Ministry of Transport Filip Radulovc said that Airports of Montenegro are ready for the upcoming summer tourist season.

“We are entering a season in which we expect a further expansion of the flight network and an even more passengers,” Radulovic said at a meeting with Executive Director of Airports of Montenegro Roko Tolic, Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors Stefan Madzgalj, and Deputy Executive Director Petar Radulovic.

Radulović said it is important for airports to be operationally and organizationally ready for the increased volume of traffic in order to provide passengers and airlines with a quality and reliable service.

Tolic said that he raised a set of issues at the meeting with Radulović that cannot be addressed without the approval of the Ministry of Transport, adding that Airports of Montenegro are entering the upcoming summer season with great optimism.

We are preparing in terms of staffing and organization. Unfortunately, infrastructure preparations are progressing somewhat more slowly due to circumstances beyond the control of the management of Airports of Montenegro, but we are grateful to the other competent ministries covering sectors that are important for us. We expect a final decision regarding the future management model – whether we will remain state-owned or a concessionaire will be introduced. That will be a signal for further action,” Tolic said.
