Radjenovic: Unlawful settlement causes major damage to the state

Budva, (MINA-BUSINESS) – By concluding an unlawful settlement in the arbitration proceedings over Sveti Stefan, the Government will inflict significant damage on the state, said Blazo Radjenovic, Vice President of the United Reform Action (URA), calling on the Special State Prosecutor’s Office to urgently get involved.

He urged the Special State Prosecutor’s Office and the State Property Protector to act immediately to prevent damage to the state, as well as potential criminal activity and corruption involving the Government and other parties in the Sveti Stefan case.

Radjenovic said that information suggesting the Government plans to extend the lease for the Sveti Stefan and Milocer hotels, change the lease fee, and reach a settlement in the arbitration proceedings, while disregarding laws and constitutional procedures, is a scandal that raises suspicions of corruption.

He recalled that, under the law and established procedures, such decisions cannot be made without the approval of Parliament.

“The Government has stated that the agreement would stipulate no additional construction in Milocer Park beyond what is defined by existing permits and within current parameters. This raises the question – whose building permit? The one issued under Branimir Gvozdenovic and the DPS?” Radjenovic asked.
