Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – A total of 694 applications were submitted to the first public call under Measure 1 – Investments in the physical assets of agricultural holdings, within the IPARD III programme, with total investments amounting to €69.19 million and requested support of €48.33 million.
Line minister Vladimir Jokovic said at the IPARD Open Days event that IPARD is not just a support programme.
“It is one of the key instruments through which we are transforming the structure of our agriculture. We are investing in modernization, raising standards, and creating conditions for our producers to be competitive, sustainable, and ready for the European market,” Jokovic said.
The Ministry of Agriculture stated in a press release that the IPARD Open Days were held with the aim of presenting the plan for launching IPARD III public calls for this year, providing additional information to potential beneficiaries about support opportunities, and formally signing the first contracts under Measure 1.
According to the Ministry, activities aimed at raising awareness and supporting potential IPARD beneficiaries will continue, with the goal of successfully implementing planned measures and further developing Montenegro’s agriculture.
