Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The project Energy of the Future: Innovations for Sustainable Development, implemented by the non-governmental organization Energeko with the support of the Innovation Fund, has been successfully completed after a series of training activities across the country.

The NGO said in a press release that a number of educational and practical workshops were organized for children and young people on the topics of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and innovation, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of sustainable development and encouraging innovative thinking among youth. 

The workshops were held in five cities: Bijelo Polje, Podgorica, Petrovac, Kolasin and Spuz, and more than 100 children and young people aged between ten and twenty directly participated in these activities.

Through interactive presentations, practical tasks and teamwork, participants had the opportunity to learn about the basics of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, while also developing their own ideas and solutions that contribute to a more sustainable future.

“Particular focus of the project was placed on developing an innovation culture among young people, as well as familiarizing them with the importance of technology, science and innovation in modern society,” the press release reads.
