Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Traffic Administration has published a new video on its official YouTube channel showing the progress of works on the construction of the Tivat–Jaz boulevard, one of the more important infrastructure projects on the Montenegrin coast.

“The video presents the activities carried out so far on this section, the construction of which will improve transport connectivity, increase road safety and reduce traffic congestion during the tourist season,” the Administration said in a press release.

The Chinese consortium Shandong Foreign Economic and Technical Cooperation and Shandong Liuqiao Group has been granted an extension of the deadline for works on the construction of the Tivat–Jaz boulevard and a new pipeline of the Regional Water Supply system until 31 May this year.

Construction works on that important coastal road officially began in August 2023 and were originally scheduled to be completed by mid-January this year.

The construction of the Tivat–Jaz boulevard is one of the most significant and complex infrastructure projects currently underway in Montenegro. 

The value of the works amounts to €54 million, excluding VAT.
