Police to inspect schools daily

 

Podgorica, (MINA) - Police officers, in cooperation with the security agencies responsible for school safety, will preventively carry out inspections of educational institutions and surrounding areas at least an hour before the start of classes each day until the end of the school year, the Police Administration announced.

The press release stated that, due to the frequent reports of allegedly planted explosive devices in educational institutions across Montenegro, Chief of the Police Lazar Scepanovic ordered all heads of regional security centers to, in cooperation with school administrations, teaching staff and the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MPNI), at least one hour before the start of classes, check incoming e-mails

The police said that officers of the High-Tech Crime Unit in cooperation with international partners will continue intensive activities to identify senders and carry out criminal processing of reports received so far concerning planted explosive devices.

“The joint goal of the Police Administration, the Ministry and school administrations is to resolve such situations quickly and efficiently, with minimal disruption to the teaching process, while preserving the safety of students and staff”, the press release states.
