Police receive 19 new specialized vehicles

 

Podgorica, (MINA) – The Police Administration has received 19 new specialized vehicles intended for intervention units, the transport of detainees and the border police, Minister of the Interior Danilo Saranovic announced.

“By handing over 19 new specialized vehicles for the needs of the police, we are continuing concrete strengthening of material and technical capacities and creating conditions for police officers to perform their work efficiently, professionally and safely”, said Saranovic in a press release.

According to him, 13 specialized vehicles were acquired for the needs of the Police Sector of general jurisdiction, including regional security centers.

“Nine vehicles have been adapted for the needs of police intervention units, which further improves their operational readiness and ability to respond quickly to security challenges”, Saranovic pointed out.

He said that four specialized vehicles are intended for the transportation of detainees and six vehicles for the needs of the Border Police Sector.

Saranovic stated that the Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to invest in the modernization of the police system, so that Montenegro has a police force that is efficient, professional and fully aligned with European standards.
