Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The police and inspection services will join forces to ensure greater security and a safe and stable summer tourist season, it was concluded at a meeting of their representatives.
Director of the Police Administration Lazar Scepanovic and Minister Milutin Butorovic, who also serves as Chairman of the Coordination Body for Harmonization and Monitoring of Inspection Oversight, held a meeting focused on planning development and operational measures for inspection supervision ahead of the upcoming summer tourist season.
The goal is to raise the level of security and legality, tackle the informal economy, and protect the state’s economic interests, both on the coast and in northern tourist centres.
“In this context, joint and coordinated action of multiple inspection services at both state and local levels is planned. They will organize deployments, station inspectors, operate in mobile and mixed teams, including tax, tourism, labour, sanitary, market inspections, inspections for games of chance, as well as food safety inspections,” the Police Administration said in a press release.
With police support and active participation of other inspection authorities, they will work to raise the level of compliance with the law.
