Petrol prices increase

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Ministry of Energy and Mining announced that prices of both types of petrol have increased in Montenegro, while diesel and heating oil have become cheaper.
A liter of Eurosuper 95 and 98 has gone up by four cents to €1.57 and by five cents to €1.61, respectively.
The price of Eurodiesel is one cent lower and now stands at €1.68.
Heating oil has dropped by one cent and will cost €1.78.
The Ministry explained that the price calculation was made in accordance with the new decision to reduce excise duties on unleaded petrol and gas oils. Under this decision, the excise duty amounts to €412 per 1,000 liters for unleaded petrol and €308 per 1,000 liters for gas oils used as motor fuel.
This decision will be in effect until 26 May.
In line with the regulation on the method for calculating maximum retail prices of certain petroleum products, which came into force on 24 March, the next calculation will be carried out on 4 May.
