Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Employment Office is particularly committed to activating the domestic workforce and creating opportunities for young people to be part of the tourist season in their own country, its director David Percobic said.

Speaking at the Summer Job 2026 Seasonal Employment Fair, held today in Podgorica, he said it is important for young people to gain their first work experience in the labour market in Montenegro.

“It is important that young people take their first work steps here, in Montenegro. In this way we strengthen the domestic workforce, provide opportunities for young people who are full of energy and ready to work, and contribute to the development of our economy and tourism sector,” Percobic said.

This year, the Employment Office organized a series of mini seasonal employment fairs across Montenegro, in Herceg Novi, Niksic, Podgorica, Bijelo Polje and Rozaje, which attracted strong interest from unemployed citizens, particularly students and young people. 

According to him, fairs are also planned in Bar, Plav, Berane and Pljevlja.

Percobic called on all unemployed young people to apply for seasonal jobs and appealed to employers to place their trust in domestic workers, which could be mutually beneficial.
