Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) has invited small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs to apply for participation in the Reconnect – Creative Crafts for Industrial Symbiosis in Blue Economy Sectors project, implemented under the Interreg EURO-MED programme.

“This is an opportunity for companies in the fisheries, aquaculture, or craft sectors to improve their business through innovative and sustainable solutions,” PKCG said in a press release.

Participation in the project is free of charge, and the benefits for selected SMEs and entrepreneurs are numerous, including access to modern tools for identifying untapped opportunities and optimizing resources, support in business and innovation development through practical guidelines and advice for improving processes and creating new solutions, cross-sectoral and international cooperation with partners from different sectors and countries, opportunities for international promotion of products and ideas, and expert guidance in the circular economy.

“The goal of the project is to advance the circular economy in the Mediterranean region, with a particular focus on the fisheries and aquaculture sectors. The project highlights the importance of craftsmanship as a key driver of industrial symbiosis,” PKCG added. 

Special emphasis is placed on the reuse of waste and its transformation into value-added products, simultaneously contributing to environmental protection and creating new business opportunities.

The RECONNECT project is implemented by nine partner institutions from the Mediterranean working together to create a more sustainable, innovative, and connected economic environment.
