NSD delegation in Donja Gradina: Remembrance culture a civilizational value of democratic countries

Podgorica, (MINA) – Remembrance culture is a civilizational value shared by all developed and democratic European countries, said New Serbian Democracy (NSD) officials Jovan Vucurovic and Dario Vranes.

The NSD announced that the party delegation, consisting of Vucurovic and Vranes, laid a wreath in Donja Gradina on Sunday on behalf of party president Andrija Mandic and the party.

They stated that hundreds of thousands of innocent people – Serbs, Jews and Roma – were killed in the infamous Jasenovac camp.

“Even though many malevolent forces throughout history have tried their best to destroy it, the Serbian people have always survived and resurrected from the darkest moments, guided by God’s providence”, Vucurovic and Vranes emphasized.

According to them, two years ago the Parliament of Montenegro joined the fight to preserve the memory of the innocent victims by adopting the Resolution on the Genocide in the Jasenovac, Mauthausen and Dachau camp systems.

Vucurovic and Vranes stated that a dignified memorial program will also be organized in Montenegro’s capital this year.
