Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj said that his Ministry strongly contributes to Montenegro’s European path through reforms aimed at improving the business environment, strengthening the competitiveness of the economy, and creating better living conditions.

“Particularly encouraging are the results achieved in the negotiation process, including the record pace of closing negotiation chapters, many of which fall under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economic Development,” Gjeloshaj said in his Europe Day message.

He said that additional chapters are expected to be closed in the coming period, along with continued intensive work on fulfilling the European agenda.

“The future of Montenegro lies in the EU, and we will continue to work together responsibly and with commitment to achieve that goal as soon as possible, for the benefit of all citizens,” Gjeloshaj said.

He added that Europe Day is a reminder of the values that Montenegro shares with the European family of nations: peace, solidarity, the rule of law, economic progress, and equal opportunities for all.

“It is precisely on these values that we are building a modern, stable, and prosperous Montenegro,” Gjeloshaj said.
