New transmission line to bring more reliable electricity supply to Rozaje and Tutin

New transmission line to bring more reliable electricity supply to Rozaje and Tutin

Belgrade, (MINA-BUSINESS) – It was concluded at a meeting in Belgrade that the construction of the Tutin–Rozaje transmission line is one of the important infrastructure projects for Montenegro and Serbia and could contribute to a more reliable electricity supply.

Minister of Energy and Mining Admir Sahmanovic met with Serbia’s Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Dedovic Handanovic to discuss how Montenegro and Serbia can ensure a more stable and secure electricity supply for citizens through closer cooperation.

The Ministry said in a press release that special emphasis was placed on the project to build the 110 kV Tutin–Rozaje transmission line, which was seen as one of the key infrastructure projects for both countries.

“By building this transmission line, citizens of Rozaje and Tutin would receive a more reliable electricity supply, as these areas would gain an additional supply route from the 110 kV network,” the press release reads.

This means that in the event of interruption on one route, electricity could be supplied from another direction, significantly reducing the risk of power outages and increasing the reliability of the power system.
