New generations in the labour market recognize the importance of environmental protection and sustainable practices

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Summer Job project has for years successfully connected young people with the labour market, enabling them to develop work habits and gain their first professional experience, said the Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development Damjan Culafic.

“I am particularly pleased by initiatives and activities involving young people who see and build their future in Montenegro. Summer Job is one such example, as it has for years successfully connected young people with the labour market and enabled them to develop work habits, gain their first professional experience, build confidence and acquire new knowledge, but also meet new people and gain a clearer picture of the career paths they want to pursue,” Culafic said.

Speaking at a press conference on the Summer Job project, which the Ministry has supported again this year, he said that a large number of seasonal jobs are in the tourism and hospitality sector, while Montenegro owes its tourism recognition precisely to its exceptional natural beauty, mountains, rivers, lakes and the sea.

“That is why I believe it is unnecessary in an ecological state to emphasize that tourism development should go hand in hand with environmental protection,” Culafic said.

According to him, another strong boost comes from the fact that the generations entering the labour market increasingly recognize the importance of environmental protection and sustainable practices.
