Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – A new cycle of the Social Impact Award (SIA) program, which empowers young people to turn social challenges into sustainable entrepreneurial solutions, has been officially opened at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro in Podgorica.

The NGO Youth Education Center, which has been implementing the SIA programme in Montenegro since 2022, announced that with the launch of this year’s cycle, the world’s largest competition in youth social entrepreneurship is now officially open to applicants.

“The opening of the fifth programme cycle comes at a time when Montenegro is increasingly building a framework for the social and solidarity economy – an economy that works for people and the community, not exclusively for profit,” the Centre said in a press release.

According to the NGO, social entrepreneurship and innovation are gaining an increasingly important role as models that connect the development of local communities, employment, inclusion of vulnerable groups, environmental protection, and sustainable growth.
