Mugosa initiates parliamentary hearing regarding General Collective Agreement

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) - The head of the parliamentary group of the European Alliance in Parliament, Boris Mugosa, has submitted an initiative to hold a hearing with the ministers responsible for social dialogue and finance, Naida Nisic and Novica Vukovic, regarding the complex situation surrounding the General Collective Agreement.

He proposed that representatives of trade unions and employers’ associations also be invited to the session.

In the initiative, Mugosa states that the General Collective Agreement regulates rights, obligations, and responsibilities arising from employment, as well as other issues important for employees and employers, and that it expires tomorrow, without any agreement reached between the social partners.

Additionally, he pointed out that with the expiration of the General Collective Agreement, around 100,000 employees from sectors that do not have sectoral collective agreements or agreements with employers could be left without a significant portion of their labour rights as of 1 May.
