Montenegro wins TAIEX Champion award

Podgorica, (MINA) - Montenegro has won the TAIEX Champion award for the strategic use of the TAIEX Instrument in the promotion of reforms in the EU accession process, announced the Ministry of European Affairs (MEA).
It is stated that the award was presented within the Institution Building Days of the European Commission (EC).
This year’s edition, according to the press release, marks 30 years of the TAIEX instrument and three decades of support for strengthening of institutions, the enlargement process and the exchange of knowledge.
The MEA stated that within the event the TAIEX Champions award was presented in recognition of exceptional results in the use of the TAIEX instrument in the process of building institutions and European cooperation.
“Montenegro has been awarded for the consistent and strategic use of the TAIEX instrument in the implementation of reforms on the path to EU membership, especially in the area of building a professional and efficient public administration in line with European standards”, the press release said.
It is stated that the award was received on behalf of Montenegro by Ambassador Petar Markovic, while European Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos presented the award.
